Kia Connect services

Kia Connect is the latest evolution in Connected Car & infotainment, which is a testimony of Kia's continual quest to provide advanced technology that makes driving safer convenient & enjoyable.

Once subscribed, you can access Kia Connect services via the buttons on the inside rearview mirror.You can also access other useful features using the Kia Connect menu on the infotainment system.

  • The UVO service name has been changed to Kia Connect.
  • Depending on conditions, such as the vehicle type, the system type, available services may vary.
  • Services may be modified, added, or deleted according to changes in the company's policies.

Kia Connect services are provided via mobile networks, and the use of the service may be restricted depending on the mobile network status.

Check the network signal icon () at the top right of the screen to see if the network signal strength is proper.

  • The Kia Connect Services system is available at one or more antenna bars.
  • Depending on the mobile network status, the use of the Kia Connect service may be affected in the following places:
    • In a building or tunnel
    • In a mountain or dense forest
    • On a road near a cliffs
    • In an area with a lot of high buildings
    • On a highway or a road under an overpass
    • Out of a service area based on the mobile network service provider's coverage policy.
    • In basement parking lots

Once you sign-up for Kia Connect service, you must activate the service to use it on the system.

On the All menus screen, press Kia Connect ▶ Kia Connect settings ▶ Activate Kia Connect.

If you agree to the terms and conditions, Kia Connect service activation will begin.

Caution

  • •  Do not stop the engine while the activation is in progress. Doing so may cause a system malfunction.
  • While the activation is in progress, the system buttons will be locked. After service activation, only the in-vehicle services will be available. Need to register user and vehicle information with Kia Connect App to activate all Kia Connect services.

Press the [] button to contact the Kia Connect Call Centre.

Kia Connect call centre can assist you with the desired destination over call. You can request your desired destination to the call centre agent and they can push the destination right into your navigation system.

Press the [] button to call for roadside assistance.

In situations of emergencies or accidents, press [SOS] button. This service provides you with immediate assistance from Kia Connect emergency services.

Press the [SOS] button to start the SOS service. Customer and location information, will be transmitted to the Kia Connect Call Centre. A response specialist will attempt to help you contact and forward any pertinent information to the respective authorities.

The response specialist will attempt to establish voice communications with you until the respective authorities arrive.

  • Kia Connect centre call, Roadside Assist call and SOS call are available after service activation.

Auto Crash Notification

This service provides you with immediate assistance when an accident occurs and an airbag is deployed. If this happens, an Auto Crash Notification (ACN) signal, containing customer, vehicle and location information, will be transmitted to the Kia Connect centre automatically. Once the signal is received, a response specialist will attempt to establish voice communications with you and forward any pertinent information to respective authorities.

  • The Auto Crash Notification feature is subject to adequate mobile network coverage, Signal strength.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery

If your vehicle is reported stolen, the Kia Connect Call Centre can provide assistance.

Kia Connect Call Centre can provide 3 way communications between driver, the police and a response specialist.

The Kia Connect Call Centre can provide assistance to the police in an attempt to recover the vehicle.

  • These services only available after service activation. If the vehicle is not in a position to respond, assistance with the services above cannot be provided.
